Which 3-Blade Prop, Kevin?

Don't know what Hartzell does, but McCauley normally supplies 4 new Lord J-3804-41 mounts, or at least they did with the prop supplied for my 250 last year.

Except that they mistakenly supplied one J-3804-42 set, that turns out to have a gel surrounded spacer. Tho at first denied, it seems that a few installations, like mine, had excessive movement on engine startup and/or shut down, allowing the metal mount spacer to bang on the engine mount.

In my case I learned about that from Lord, who eventually supplied me with additional gel spacers when McCauley wouldn't - although McCauley supplied the paperwork necessary for the Field Approval to use those spacers.

Having said all that, I should add that most McCauley 3 blade installations are fine with the softer Lord mounts supplied with the propellor kit.

Hope this helps.
Best, Don

You might consider dynamic balancing as well.
