I put the Johnson's on my PA-30 about 10 years ago and still like the look.
They have proven durable and trouble-free and they fit like a glove when I installed them.
Metco's are good too but the Johnson look ('57 Chevy tailfins, anyone?) is classic.

Hi Alan,

You know, Johnston's ship(or atleast did when I bought mine) their wingtips with stickers all over them warning the installer NOT to put them on upside down.

When the bride went to the paint shop to check on the progress when we had our a/c painted, she found that apparently the installer couldn't read and had done just that. Neither of us like the drooped look so they were changed.

Thanks for the laugh.

Good luck, Don

Don,

I was talking to Dave Johnston the other day and he was relating the story of his complete inability to get mechanics to faithfully install the things the right way. When he first got calls that they didn't fit well, he was scratching his head until he figured out that people were installing upside down, notwithstanding the pictures and instructions. Hence the warnings, though he says it still happens.
