De Moines Flying Service quoted me $97?.00. Lead time from Piper was I think 60-90 days. Will have to check Webco and find a price from them. Just picked up my 260 yesterday and got it back to PHX. Now on to Michigan in June. Will spend the Summer getting these darn things done. What AD has to do with the high shear rivits, is that the tail?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
We have a 61 250. 2 AD's for the ailerons.
1) 77-08-01 can be complied with piper kit 760-914. This involves a re-enforcement of the outward aileron hinge bracket. Look in the technical member section for service letter 787. note that SL means service letter and SB means service bulletin Our kit was installed in 1978
2) 79-20-10 can be complied with piper kit # 763-893 per service letter 850. This is for the aileron nose rib bulkhead.

Hope this helps

Here is also the ad 75-27-8 for the Stabilator bearing block riviets
as copied from the AD note
1) remove the right rear fuselage access door
2) Using a light and mirror(with extension) view through the acess opening to determine if any of the horizontally postioned rivets through the skin align with any of the vertically postioned rivets through the support fittings
c If more than one rivet is so aligned and there is a penetration of more than one of five forward rivets, Piper kit 760835 or equivalent shallbe installed in the affected fitting before further flight.

There is a it more but all legalize. Basicaly a one time inspection, took our IA all of about 5 min.
