Seal JM1025S is sort of a flat on one side and soft rounded top. It was recommended by Webco and through some miscommunication, it got put on my Twin's door instead of the solid quarter round I was expecting and already have on the baggage door.
While it sort of does the sealing job, because of its overall size, it leaves a channel between the edge of the door and the fuselage door frame. All test flights were oriented towards stalls, gear horn and landing airspeeds checks. It wasn't until I flew home from annual that the Twin was at normal cruise and the wind howl happened.
If the seal had been put on the edges of the door, this might have prevented the wind howl channel but would have left a big gap on the other side of the seal. Either way I would not recommend this seal.
The other lesson learned is if you have original door hinges, do not remove the door to make it easier to remove and apply the seal. The door hinge will never look as good as the original again. Webco recommends a solution that leaves cotter pins showing on the bottom of the hinge. It looks like misspelled carp.
