Looking for a sanity check on the landing gear warning horn/light operation on the PA-30. The maintenance manual doesn't spell it out well that I could find and I couldn't read a few details in the wiring diagram. Need to see if Commanche Gear has a better wiring diagram than what's in the book, but in the meantime..
Here's my situation:
1. Gear Up, on jacks.
2. Both throttles above micro-switch detent - GEAR UP light illuminated.
3. One throttle retarded below micro switch - GEAR UP light extinguishes; no audible gear up warning.
4. Second throttle retarded below micro switch (both throttles below micro switch) - Gear up light illuminates, audible gear warning horn chimes in.
5. One (either) throttle advanced above micro switch - Gear up light extinguishes; Gear warning horn extinguishes.
The same results occur regardless of which throttle is advanced/retarded first.
Do both throttles have to be pulled back below the micro switches to engage the gear up warning horn with the gear up by design?
The gear up light extinguishing is wrong, but believe that should be blinking?
