PA-30 Wheel Application

PA-30 Wheel Application

Postby Nicholas Gill » Fri Jul 22, 2016 10:02 pm

I have just purchased a 1964 PA-30 after looking for quite some time and waiting for the right time to pull the trigger. I am working on the first annual inspection and getting quite a few minor things brought up to my standards.

One item I have come across upon going to service the wheels and repack the wheel bearings is that all 4 races in the main gear are spinning in the wheels half. I am looking down the road to convert to the single fork from the dual fork I currently have.

My question is if anyone knows if the 40-90 wheels will fit the dual fork landing gear? I have found those for about 500$ a side new with bearing and everything where as the 40-34 part called out for the dual fork is over 5,000$$$ per side.

If anyone knows the answer to this or has done it. it would be of great help!

Thanks

Nick,
They will, however the offset is different, and you will need to make new spacers to fit them correctly.
