Wing Terminal Block

Does anyone know the location of the PA-30 Wing Terminal Block shown on figure 9-7 in the service manual? (Page 2J14 of the PA-30 Sevice Manual)

Looked at my maintenance manual and I see what you are looking for but haven't seen it on my Twin - which means I haven't had to buy one of those yet. Sometimes I've found locations for things by looking at the parts manual diagrams.

So that's my best idea ... if I were going to speculate for my 39, I'd go looking in the floor access panel below the power quadrant but if this is an older 30, I don't have a clue because they moved a LOT of electrical stuff between older 30s and 39s.

Hmm - another potential spot might be behind the engine in the nacelle in the area accessible by the easily removed top of the nacelle access panel. I'll see if I have a picture of this area form the 2012 annual when we did some work in there.

During my recent annual I extensively cleaned inside all compartments of my PA-30 including the engine nacelles. I searched my pictures and I don't have any that show for certain but if memory serves there is a wiring block inside the engine nacelles behind the firewall. It would be accessed through a square panel on the top of the nacelle in a compartment of the wing that is just behind the firewall. My pics show that there is nothing in the rear most section of the nacelle (i.e. in the structures and compartments behind the area I am referring to). So I'd start by removing the small square panel over each nacelle and look in there.

The other possibility might be in the nose section. Most all the wiring from the wings comes into the nose area and there are a number of wiring blocks there. Perhaps they refer to them as wing wiring blocks because they are blocks of wring that comes from each wing but they may actually be located in the nose section... just a thought.

Thanks Pat and Charles. I will be back out at the hangar one day this week and check both the engine firewall and nose area. The problem I am chasing is a fuel sender wiring issue. It looks like a broken ground but I need to find that terminal block to debug it. Both main and aux senders were also bad and have been sent to Webco for repair. Fuel indication problems are fun aren't they?

It so happens I needed to de-cowl my left engine today to troubleshoot an alternator problem and I think I found your "wing wiring block". it's inside the engine nacelle under that square panel in the top of the nacelle I mentioned earlier. Attached are a few pics.
