Baffles

Baffles

Postby Joshua Dickson » Fri Mar 21, 2014 6:40 pm

I am in need of some new baffles for the PA-24 180 (1959). The guys in Alaska make them for the 250 and 260 but not my little 180. Are they different? Anyone know if there are sheet metal dudes around that can "Repair" them?

Matt Kurke at Comanchegear.com. The front baffles are the tricky ones. Side and rear can be had pretty easily from Vans or any other design using an O360 and pressure cowl. They of course will just be donor pieces for the repair...

Joshua,

Ditto what Zach said - Matt does excellent work.

BTW tightly fitted flexible teflon baffles really made a difference to the IO320s in my Twin. If you are doing baffles, might want to add this to the project list - just a thought.
