Bouncing Altimeter

My partner observed this on our altimeter yesterday while climbing out after takeoff. It settled down after 30 seconds or so and didn't happen again. Also didn't happen on a flight earlier in the day.

There was no issue on the VSI or on those same instruments on our Aspen display.

Someone suggested to me it could have been some water in the pitot system and not to worry about it.

Thoughts?

Water could be the culprit. Had that in a Cirrus the other day.... If that happens again try changing to alt static source and see if the problem goes away. But how is your aspen connected in to the static source? Presumably the same system but a different point in the line...

Cold weather has a fine way of showing sticky instruments. Is this the first time flying in the cold this year by chance?
