430w transmit static

430w transmit static

Postby Keith Koenig » Thu Jul 04, 2013 8:47 pm

For the life of me cant find the problem. Just had complete panel install. Only when engine running and you ptt to transmit the 430 fills the headset with static. Static cannot be heard on receiving end. Pulled ALL breakers and no change. Swapped antennae and no change. Any ideas?? Thought I might find something before I take it to the shop. The one that did the work is a state away.

Keith is there static when you transmit using your headset and when using your handheld mic? Do you also have it when you transmit on number 2 radio? and from the copliot position? is there static on the cockpit speaker?
The answer to these questions will isolate it to wiring or radio.

Gary, only on the 430 not com2. All headsets either side transmitting. Hmm have not checked if it comes out of the speaker, I will try that. Thanks
