Astronautics Pathfinder PA2A Autopilot

Astronautics Pathfinder PA2A Autopilot

Postby BobPicker » Tue Nov 27, 2012 6:04 am

I am looking for parts for an Astronautic Pathfinder model PA2A Autopilot. Ours in our 250 is not functioning and I would like to find a source for parts. I suspect our servo may be weak causing a failure in our servo amplifier.

If anyone knows of parts or possible sources, please let me know.

Astronautics got out of the autopilot business many (probably more than 20) years ago, so your autopilot is not much more than added weight now. I used to have one. I wanted a more capable autopilot 10 years ago, so I removed it and installed a current autopilot. The Astronautics autopilot was working when I removed it. It just didn't have the capabilities that I wanted, and as an orphan, there was no way more capabilities could be added.

Two years ago, I sent the various parts to another ICS member who was having problems. I think all he needed was the turn coordinator, so he may still have the controller and the servos. You can get his name by searching for "Astronautics" on this board.

Good luck.
