JPI EDM-960

JPI EDM-960

Does anyone have a turbo PA-30 with EDM-960? I had mine installed with a panel upgrade and the fuel pressure has never worked. I've been back and forth with JPI. We've swapped out transducers. JPI even sent a test circuit that was used to check wiring continuity between the data unit and the transducers. Everything checks out good except the indicated fuel pressures - it shows red X's most of the time and only occasionally shows 1-3 psi with the boost pumps on/off not indicating any change.
Thanks for any ideas or reports.

I have just purchased a turbo PA30 and installed the electronics international engine monitor. Fuel pressure comes off between the rotary fuel pump and the servo. It works fine. Would sure be interested how your turbos work for you. I had a Rayjay equipped mooney and loved it. This one I start dropping below 25 manifold pressure at 22,000 after much fine tuning. At first with lots of leaks it lost pressure at 11,000. Douglas.

Hi Douglas,
I think my installer put the JPI fuel pressure transducers in the wrong place as you're alluding. My A&P is planning on moving them on my next oil change.
If you're pulling 24+ inches at 22,000' it's sounds like your induction is pretty tight and the turbos are working great. What's your TAS under those conditions?!? I've only had mine to 13,000' and didn't have the waste gates all the way in.
There's lots of good information, as I'm sure you've found, on tweaking the Rajays.
