Replacing NARCO AT50A w/ King KT78 re-use Trans-Cal Encoder?

Our Narco AT50A Transpoder is dying and we have a rebuilt (Yellow tag) King 78. In setting up to rewire the new tray I noticed in the Trans-Cal (Model SSD120-2A) installation manual that you had to remove a decoupling capcitor netowrk for it to work on the AT50A. Does anyone know if this will work with the King 78 since this network is now "missing"?

You need to talk to John Van Bladderin(sp) of Ron and John's. They advertise in the monthly magazine.
