Replacement autopilot for G reg aircraft

Hello out there. This is my first attempt at this so bear with me.
We have a UK based 1964 PA24-260 (carb), reg G-BRXW. The Autocontrol II has died! We are looking at fitting a used replacement, either a Century II, or 21, or an S-Tec 30 or 50?
Are there any G reg Comanches out there already fitted with any of these? I'm trying to avoid re-inventing the wheel and having to sort a new STC.
Any help much appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum. This is the place to ask this question.

While I can't help you with an answer to the specific time, I can say we've been happy with the Century 2000 they sponsored us with in the 1994 World Race. Still works great and they still support it.

Thanks for that Pat. I'll add that one to our list of possibles. Just need to find outif there is an STC for it here in the UK.

Peter, I'm sure you've tried just googling the products you are looking for - http://www.centuryflight.com/ is the Century website and it shows their STCs but I couldn't tell if they applied in the UK - suggest sending them an email, I'm sure they know.

FYI,

This is slightly off the subject. How about a call to Avidyne and ask them about there new DFC-90 autopilot retrofits for the Baron/Bonanzas and C-182's. Maybe they will get approval for the Comanche series in there next round of projects. I for one would be very interested in getting a autopilot for my plane. As I understand it, there new autopilot will interface with an Aspen unit and other digital products. Please report back if you here anything. FWIW.
