ICS Comanche Camping @ Airventure 2017

Just like last year...

If you would like to camp beside your Comanche at Airventure and as part of a Comanche group, Shirley and I will reserve a group of spaces like last year. This offer applies to Comanches built prior to 1971 as unfortunately 1971 and 1972 year aircraft are still excluded from the Vintage area. There will be no dedicated Comanche rows like those when we held our convention. The cost is $27/day from the day the space is reserved until the end of the Airventure ($260), but you will get a refund of the unused days when you leave. There is a three-day minimum.

Like last year, the plan is to charge your camping fee to your credit card so that any refund will go directly to you. I will reserve spaces on Friday, July 21st. Then I will send you the location of the space by email or text (your choice) prior to your arrival. When you arrive at KOSH, have a sign printed on the front with VAC (Vintage Aircraft Camping) and the row of your site on the back in large, bold letters; when you get into the vintage area, flip the sign over and the aircraft parkers will direct you to your spot.

While reserving spaces starting on the Friday before the 'big show' starts may seem extreme and unnecessary, there are LOTS of arrivals that early and it's the only way to get closer to the activities versus a mile away. NOTE: pre-1971 or show aircraft can almost always get a place to park while the North 40 parking of 1971 and later aircraft often is full. So even if ATIS advises parking is full, keep coming unless it specifically mentions show aircraft.
