Greetings to all,
A short update from the convention chair for the Southwest Tribe. Planning goes well and a lot of loose ends are starting to come together.
This should be a great convention with a full spectrum of activities to pacify the desires of all our Comanche specific attendees.
The most pressing issue at this time is our desire to make sure everyone is doubly aware that the convention starts the day after Labor Day this year. We have negotiated with the hotel to honor our 119.00/day room rate through the Labor Day weekend (all three days) and the three days after the convention as well.
This information will be in the Flyer this month, but I wanted to post this for those who may miss it in the magazine.
We strongly suggest that anyone who is even remotely thinking about coming out a little early and enjoying the city and the weather, that you go ahead and reserve the room now as they are on an "as available" basis, meaning the rooms go to whoever reserves them first. As the time approaches these rooms will get very scarce (and expensive). These rooms normally sell for 299-499/ night on holiday weekends.
So call up the hotel and get the room reserved. Information is in the link on main page. You can always cancel it without penalty up to 72 hours out.
We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and those we've not met yet for a great week on the coast.
See ya in September!!
