NC Fly-in lunch Jan. 16 @ KMIE

Postby Scott Ducey » Sat Jan 16, 2010 2:04 am

Good evening. The NJ contingency is gonna try to make it to Indiana tomorrow. However, the weather at the destination may be an issue. We are departing at the crack of dawn to join you guys for lunch. We will do our best to be there, but will not take any unnecessary risks. We are hoping to see you nevertheless. Our tail number is N931JS in case you wanna see if we turned around on flight tracker.

Best Regards,

Scott Ducey

Scott,
Of course don't take any chances, but I think we will be OK weatherwise. By 10 should be 1500' or better cielings and better than 3 miles. The forcasts are changing so fast, its just a guess at this point. Hope to see you there.

Well, the weather got the best of us today. :( We did have one comanche that made it in from Michigan and another that got to Fort Wayne and had to turn back. We did have an excellent lunch and Jay at Kasey J's was very accomodating. I believe there would have been at least 30 people there today if it were not for the weather!!!

How does everyone feel about a Re-do for Saturday March 6th? Same time and location. Jay said he would love to have us! Thanks again everyone, I promise we will get one in with GOOD weather eventually!! -Kevin

I marked us down to try again. Let's hope the third time breaks the Kevin & Zack Weather Curse.

No joke Chuck, just call us "Man who stands in heavy rain", and "Can't see hand in front of face" or even better, "short man with head in cloud". Of course at one time I was known as Chief Black Cloud too...
