I need a reputable Autoipilot repair facility - NOT Autopilo

Does anyone know of a good autopilot servo repair shop – other than Autopilot Central? Read on.

If you have an issue with any autopilot parts and need service, please read this and decide on your own before using Autopilot Central.

I sent some parts to Autopilot central two weeks ago for evaluation. Last week, I called for a status and talked to Berry, the sales manager, who told me the issues and costs. In that conversation he said the parts would be repaired and sent out on Friday and I could expect a call that afternoon for shipping. Expecting that to be the case, I scheduled my avionics technician to install the parts this week. I did not receive a call from Autopilot Central Friday so I waited till Monday; no calls at all so I called and asked to talk to Berry. I was told he was not available and was routed to the shipping clerk. This is where the entire conversation went downhill. The very rude clerk told me that my parts were not done and that an aircraft came in so no work will be done on my parts. I asked to talk to Berry’s voice mail; the person who promised my parts to ship on Friday – her response was “I not going to do that!” If Berry reads this dialoged and wishes to dispute the truth then he may want to be cautious as I have the conversation on tape.
My point of this discussion is that I trusted Autopilot Central to work on my parts, as advertised, and live up to their promise. If they could not, then give me the courtesy of a call.

Today, I received a call from a very hostile Berry who obviously has no concept of customer service or courtesy for that matter. He angrily put the blame on me telling me he will not work on my parts and demanded to know where I wanted my parts shipped. He also rudely defended the conduct of his staff and treated me as an undeserving moron who is worthy of his services.
My impression is that Berry and his staff do not care in the slightest for their customers, will snap at any customer asking for clarification and will stretch the truth considerably.

Over 50+years of customer service, I have never been treated with such distain. Think twice before doing business with such a rude group of people. :( :(

I would talk to a "principal" at auto pilots central (pres/vp/etc) and replay the conversation. They probably don't have a clue as to how their employees are treating customers.

Wow that's disappointing to hear. I have considered using Autopilots Central in the past mainly because Bob Ferguson was a reported guru on older Century and Altimatic systems. Bob retired and I've never used them but I am sorry to hear of your bad experience there.
