Oldest PA24-180 Still Flying?

Oldest PA24-180 Still Flying?

Postby Larry Biever » Thu Apr 14, 2011 2:07 am

Hi,

I was wondering if my trusty plane is one of the oldest 180's still flying? It's a PA24-180 and the s/n is 13.

Thanks
Larry

Larry": I have s/n 337 and I know there are others out there that are older.

We regret to inform you that there are five 180s in US registry older (by serial number) than your #13 even though that may be your "lucky" number. PA-1 is registered to John Codman (N2024P) in MA. Owned since 1978. Closest to yours is PA-14 owned by Rolland Andrews (N5011P) in Ohio also since 1978.

"Still flying" is an unanswerable question as would be those 180s in foreign registry. There are 726 180s in US registry.
