Finding a dropped object

Finding a dropped object

Postby Frank » Thu Jan 21, 2010 2:54 am

In a PA-30, I dropped a small object on the floor in front of the pilot's seat in flight, and planned to get it after landing. Now, I can't find it. I think it must have gotten all the way forward on the floor, against the back side of the "firewall" and dropped through the space there where the flight control cables go through.

What's the easiest way to get at that space to find said object? It's presumably lying on the top of the bottom side skin, unless there's something else there.
