turbos or not

Postby Bryan Devault » Mon Dec 22, 2008 4:06 am

I have to completely agree with Charlie. I live in the flatlands but often fly out West. Yes, the maintenance on the turbos is somewhat more (not much once you get them up to snuff once) but eastbound in the winter watching the VSI at 1000 fpm climbing through 15000 on your way to FL190 to true 200 kt (and get a 260 kt GS thanks to the tailwind) is pretty neat. With a 230-250 kt groundspeed even at 21 GPH it's still a pretty efficient airplane. I was thinking about getting the GAMIjectors and run LOP to lower the fuel burn. I wonder if anyone has experience with that on the Turbo.
