337 for Ram Yokes Part Number 43871 or 43052

337 for Ram Yokes Part Number 43871 or 43052

Postby 8266Y » Sat May 17, 2008 6:49 pm

I ordered a pair of ram yokes from Webco. They came off a PA31. I am looking for a 337 for a pair of similar yokes. I own a 1966 PA30 if that matters. If anyone has a 337 for ram yokes I would appreciate it!

The shop said the FISDO could pretty much “rubber stamp” the field approval if I would find one already approved.

Randy Redden

P.S. This is from the shop: Yokes; P/N 43871-000 or Yellow Tagged Yoke Assy; P/N 43052-00

Jeff says if you can find documentation referencing either prefix (first 5 digits of either #) he thinks that will be enough to work with

That might be of interest to me! I haven't seen any pics of the AOPA bird - I'll check to see if I can find any on-line. Can the yokes you describe be legally installed on a PA24, and is it a difficult installation?
Thanks again for the feedback.

337 for Ram Yokes Part Number 43871 or 43052

Dock,
Look at your parts book. It actually calls for the later model Rams Horn Yokes, as replacements for the original early yokes as no longer available.

Only a log entry required for them, if you can find a pair.

I did mine earlier this year.

Thanks Don. I only have the original parts book from 1963 - I better get me a new one!

Dock,
The AOPA yokes require a 337. But it has been done several times.

Sidenote:

I heard the navajo yokes are wider than the ramshorns that were actually put on by the factory to later model pa-30's, anybody confirm or deny this?
