Surface corrosion under paint

G'day,

Could any give me a quick explanation on the process used for removing corrosion under the paint? I've got a few corrosion spots on my PA-30, ranging from about 0.5" to 2" square. Nothing deep; when I remove the bubbled paint the metal underneath is fine. My understanding at the moment is:

(1) Nylon abrasive wheel to remove the affected paint. I've tried this on a few panels and it seems to work nicely, getting rid of the paint without damaging the metal.

(2) Alodine - I'm looking at the Touch-N-Prep 1132 pen since there's only a small area to do and this seems to avoid many of the major difficulties of Alodine 1201. The instruction sheet for this product doesn't say to use AlumiPrep, just a moist abrasive pad

(3) Two-pack non-etching primer

(4) Two-pack top coat matched as closely as possible to the required colour

Is that the correct process? I just want to be sure before going buying the necessary parts.
