Anyone know of AP IA that has turbo twin experience. I need a prebuy done asap. Any help would be appreciated.

You are not that far from Rockford IL (RFD) (1.5 - 2hr flight). Call Cliff Wilewski at Heritage Aero (http://www.heritageaero.com/). I understand you are in a hurry but I strongly urge you to NOT short change yourself on the pre-buy inspection process. Get it done properly by someone who truly knows what they are doing. You will not go wrong with Cliff.

I bought my PA-30 in Ohio and took it to Cliff for the pre-buy and then turned it into a full annual.

Yes, but it will cost time and travel expenses for me to get there. Why the rush? It makes more sense to get electronic copies of the logs and look at those first. That scotches 50% of the prospective aircraft, IMX.

With all due respect to your IA, does your IA have PA30 experience? Kristin is on-point regarding an electronic log review and having someone with type experience do that is very important. Kristin could definately help you there. A rushed purchase decision on a nearly 50 year old airplane could well end up being disastrous. Be careful. Don't short change the pre-buy process...

As a point of reference, this is an example of the kind of information you might want from a logbook assessment.

I do pre-buys. Like your IA, I can't always go within 24 hours, but I try to be as accommodating as I can. Normally I start with the logbook assessment, unless the aircraft is nearby and it makes more sense to do both at the same time. My email is kristin at theaviatrix dot com.

A long time Twinkie owner, Wade Wisdom, has a turbo twin for sale. He is out in OK or KS. If you want me to get some contact info I can do that. There are a few others out there as well, but that is the only one I know of personally.
