New STC ideas

Postby tomgo2 » Mon Jan 25, 2016 4:48 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have an Aircraft Engineering/Certification company and looking to do some STCs on my PA30. We are working with our ACO to become an FAA ODA and we need a few more FAA Projects before they will accept our application. Does anyone have suggestions for possible projects I could do on my PA30 that may also be of interest by other PA30 owners? We also are a PAH with PMA authorization, so we can PMA a kit for whatever we come up with.

I could do something on a different airframe if someone wants to volunteer to be the prototype installation and somewhere close to San Antonio.

I'm not looking to get rich on these, so a break even or something close would be better than nothing.

Thanks for your help.

Tom,

I probably need to put you in touch was a DER who is no longer a member of ICS but has a PA-30 that he has modified significantly. I have a couple of thoughts myself as a PA-30 owner and IA. Perhaps email is a better medium for discussion as I only get up on this board every day or so. kristin@theaviatrix.com

How about an electric replacement heater for the Southwinds & Janitrols?

@0 -25 years ago an electric heater was approved for the PA30. I know of one on a PA30 here in Everett. WA, but I don't think many were manufactured. It requires a very large (and not light) generator. Al Powers N88ap
