Need some background on engine cluster gauges in PA 30b

Can someone give me the background on the cluster gauges on a twin that provide engine oil pressure and temp as well as CHT.

When we inspected the gauge it had a Beechcraft placard on the back of one of them. Can that be right?

These are not Piper Comanche gauges. You need a field approval, Piper kit, or STC to be completely legal unless the IA determined installing them to be a minor alteration. I am dubious. These are called Engine Gauge Units. Piper used them in the Navajoes. I am not sure which aircraft Beech may have used them in.

I don't have a single to take a picture of, but it is the rectangle set of gauges that most of the Comanche's use. The ICS website has the manuals for download.

So your referring to the cluster or individual gauges that are original to the aircraft?

I was hoping to find the replacement kit for the cluster gauges..was that a 3 in 1 gauge?

If I'm not mistaken Matt Kurke has the same gauge in his 400 and it is not original, perhaps he can help with some paperwork.
