I have been chasing rough running engines on my aircraft all summer. 3 mechanics later, many hours and process of elimination it's starting to get under control.
New upper deck reference lines built and new hose couplers was the solution.
Finally have a couple flights logged.
Thanks for all the input from so many of you!
Side note: if your mechanic decides to adjust your throttle quadrant, make sure he tightens up the lock nut.
Finally got wife in plane last night, heading home from a dinner flight, just got dark and 25 miles out from home field. I grab the throttles to reduce power and the right throttle linkage clevis pin falls out. Right motor stuck at 24" Map.!
Proceeded to center of field 3,000 agl, shut down and feathered Run away motor..
I was pleased with how she handled the transition. (My wife too) haha!
Landed with no incident.
I can tell you when I drop the pin in the mechanics hand, tell him i found it on the floor, and ask him what it's from, the expression could be priceless! I'm not happy about it!!
