Stabilator AD Requries BOARD ACTION

Stabilator AD Requries BOARD ACTION

Postby MULEFLY » Sun Jun 26, 2011 1:11 pm

I hope that many of the board memebers visit Comanche Owners, but to insure that no stone remains unturned, I am posting this plea here. We have a board that is coming to the end of its term. A new one has been nominated, but nevertheless, action must be taken on the AD that the FAA proposed this week. Others are more familiar with the details than I am... however, it appears to be a massive PITA for single owners. Again, I am not as familiar as some, but it also appears that there is no alternative method of compliance that would eliminate the need to remove the tail on a repetitive basis.

ICS need to hire Hans (YES PAY HIM) to attack this AD... use the anti-aging aircraft funds collected for his travels -- what ever solicit funs for a special project... this AD will further deteriorate the value of the entire fleet.

What say you board?

Jim,

Amen...However, to be clear the "Board" members, when and if their tribes select them, may or may not change. The "officers"; president, VP, secretary and treasurer will be "elected" at the Savannah convention starting August 30. I believe comment on the proposed AD is required early August.

IMO Zach Grant, the incumbent president, should organize the AD response. The retiring officers are probably not going to do this. (Two of four own Comanches.)

This is tough call, but someone definitely needs to take charge now.
