Fuel pump question

Fuel pump question

Postby Ravi Thakkar » Mon Jan 16, 2017 4:54 am

I am new to ICS. I just acquired a 260-C. The electric fuel pump is weeping and my A&P is saying we need to replace the electric fuel pump and said one from Piper will cost about $1000. I was wondering if anyone knows of an STC or a place i can find a cheaper option.
Thanks.

Ravi,

Call these guys: http://www.cjaviation.com/ They repair and overhaul most of these pumps and have a good reputation, though I have yet to need their services so I don't have a first hand recommendation.

We just had a great experience with Aero Motors, LLC overhauling our PA-30 pumps. You should contact them to see if your pump is one they are authorized to overhaul. Their overhaul is typically $400 per pump.
