Door Latch

Door Latch

Postby Andrew Conroy » Sat Apr 13, 2013 6:57 am

Hello Everyone. I have been having trouble with my door latching mechanism. Seems in the past the P.O. had been pulling the door shut with the latch. The mounting plate was bent which is no big deal. What is a big deal is thus: PA-24-250 SN 3256

Does the door handle shaft assembly 22639-00 have a bushing on the outboard end? It has a narrower ID at the outboard end and the door itself has a much larger OD leading me to believe there is a bushing. Having a hard time looking at the parts diagram. If there is a bushing, what is the PN?

Second, there is a spring attached to the "latch strap" which is broken. I cannot find where this attaches to. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hey Andrew - if you are looking at the parts manual online, you can enlarge the diagrams. Look under the tech tab on the Home page. Just click the "International Comanche Society" on the top of this screen.
