Install bleed valve on old style brake caliper

Install bleed valve on old style brake caliper

Postby Daniel Haumesser » Wed Sep 05, 2012 1:40 pm

I have a 1960 Comanche with the older style brake calipers with no bleed valve. Sorry but don't have the part number but I'm sure plenty of you know exactly what I'm talking about. My question is, has anyone found and installed any kind of bleed valve in these? There is the drain screw in the perfect location and I can't help but think it would be a simple matter of finding a properly threaded bleed valve to replace that with.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

We have a '59 Model 180 and would like to put regular bleeders screws on ours as well if they're a reasonable fix.
