engines

I have 2 engines for sale (low time). prop strike. They dialed out ok, but still need to be torn down. Someone asked me why they are I0-320-CIA when my Comanche was manufactured it was a IO-320-BIA what is the difference. I intend to sell them without the turbo.

The C1A's are probably better engines with or without the turbo. They have long reach spark plugs, piston oil cooling jets that spray oil into the bottom of the pistons, vented fuel nozzles,S4LN-21 impulse coupling mags and an AN fuel pump drive.

I am sure they are ok in a comanche but what makes it legal and where do I find it?

You need to see note # 5 of the FAA "A1EA (rev 18) TCDS"

David, Glad to hear you're looking for another twin.

Do you have one in mind? Fair sized job tho, installing Turbo's.
I suppose you're aware of the pretty nice looking T Twin w/low time engines for sale right here in Washington?

Buy it and sell me your low time turbo's! (-:
