fuel quantity gauge

Postby Russell Knowles » Sun Sep 13, 2009 7:57 am

I would like to update my 1962 -250's fuel gauge with a more modern gauge. UMA list a TSO gauge which they claim is compatible with the comanche float sender units. [0 - 30 ohms] Has anyone done this modification and could comment on its success?

Hi Russell,

Are you making the change because you current gauges don't read properly? If this is the case might I suggest that the problem is more likely to be the sender unit

Thanks Allan,

No, in fact I have new senders from Matt Kurke and the old gauge is operational but I would like to upgrade the entire panel and the UMA unit at 2 1/4 inch would be much easier to read.
regards
Russell
