With all six tanks, the most likely issues are in order, pin holes or worse in the top of the tanks, aux and main, leaking/deteriorated flexible line/fittings in wing root and/or on the fuel tank vents. Leaking flexible line on the tip tank to wing, or leaking sending unit usually propogate stains at the wing tip or along the lower lap splice over the spar within about 3 feet of the wing tip. One other thing to check if in fact there is migration from the tip to the aux (throught he tip solenoid) would be to pull the cap on the aux and see if it runs over. For the tip to run all the way to the wing root would be a BIG leak out there, and should be very obvious by pulling the tank.
