Roll pins, being hollow in the center, should be susceptible to being drilled out. I don't believe them to be of a particularly greater hardness. I would remove the link, and with a drill press drill out the pin, with successively larger drill bits, taking a few thousandth out each time. When I got to the point where the pin was just a thin shell, I would heat the link and then use a small, tapered extactor to remove the last bit.
