Accident avoided by Comanche 260 owner's sharp pilot skills. Ret Col Harlon Hain, age 81.75 (Harlon is proud of his age), co-owns a 260 Comanche with former also SR71 pilot Charlie Daubs. Hain's SR is hanging in the SAC Museum in Omaha. Here's his latest exploit ...

Harlon and Charlie also are the 2007 Marion Jayne Perpetual Trophy winners. http://www.us-airrace.org/events.html Click on the highlighted Download 2007 Race Results for the photos and descriptions in a PDF.

Met Harlon on the 1992 Round the World Race ... he's fun in any company and flirts even when he was trying to beat Mom and sister Nancy. His departure from Fredericksburg, MD in a 310 was unforgettable. If you ever have a chance, meet him, thank him for his service to our country and watch him fly anything with wings. Almost forgot, he is a 3 time colon cancer survivor.
