PA-30 model number question

I have a 1964 PA-30 turbo. I was looking in the ICS Magazine at the Operating manuals from Webco. and they have one for the PA-30T which is turbo. All my paperwork says mine is a PA-30 not PA-30T. What is the difference??? Can someone enlighten me?? Could the turbo's have been added later??

Jim,
I guess I am bit confused by your question. In 1964, the Turbo system was added as a factory option to the PA-30. Many airplanes were modified in the field over the years as the turbos were added under an STC from RayJay. There are a few differences between factory installs and field installs, but the same STC is for both. No factory turbos were delivered without tip tanks so that is one tell tale way to know if it was aftermarket. Somewhere in your log books will be an entry stating that the turbos were installed if they were not factory.

As for getting the correct ICS POH/AFM from Webco, you need to get the turbo PA-30, manual #14.
