Suggestions

Steen,

Used to live in Palatine/Inverness and went to my 40th at Fremd last year ... so hi from Texas from a former native.

Do agree with Zach - likely a setting somewhere in your software or browser or internet provider. When I blogged on the paint job last fall, I'd leave in mid-sentence to re-play football stuff or make dinner or go to the store - never had a problem with continuing my post.

Wish I could be of more help in solving your particular problem.
Pat

In the past I have had the timeout problem on Delphi... but I must say that I have never had it here...

I've learned that if I am winding up and really want to let the entire world hear my rant in Delphi.., that I will compose it on WORD first and then paste it as a reply there.

The ICS forum, I've personally never had a time out problem.

All the best!

Hi All,

I have two computers, an xp machine and a vista machine. Until recently both had no problems with this site. Recently while the xp machine still has no problems the vista machine does.

Specifically, when I select unread messages I can only read them by selecting the entire subjectline and there is no ability to submit replies.

Thanks, Don

Don,
I will have to get my other laptop with vista on it and look at what you are talking about. I will get back to you shortly.

Search

Postby 15384 » Sun May 03, 2009 9:44 pm

Dave: When ever I do a Search for past information the results come in the form of a page showing the numerous hits on the subject matter I requested. So far so good. Then I open the first topic in the list of hits. I review the topic and click my back button only to find a page that says the previous page has expired. So I have to go back to Search, type in the information, click Go the original Search page comes back I then go to Topic #2 of the list, read it, click my back button and again up comes a page that say previous page has expired.

Can't something be done about this so that when one clicks the back button after reviewing a Searched topic he can go back to the compiled Search List instead of starting all over again?

Dave Fitzgereld - How do I post a picture of a part on the maintenance forum so I can get someone to tell me what it is? Fhorne@cox.net

Fred,

Dave may add more tips but this is how I do it.

After you finish the verbiage, scroll down beyond the Submit button and you'll find an Option Tab and to the Right an Upload Tab - click this

Then hit Browse to find the file on your computer and click it.

If you want to put a caption on the photo type in the File Comment box. Remind people to double click on the posted photo to enlarge it.

Then click the Add the File button to the right

Wait until the file is loaded.

Then hit Submit.

Hope this helps.
Pat
