I have a twin Comanche, and i’ve noticed that since a recent engine O/H, the #4 cylinder on the right engine seems to be running high CHT, low EGT. That number 4 cylider is the hottest cylinder on both sides, but the right side CHT is easily 25 degrees higher than the left engine (with the EGT about 50 lower).
When set to 75% power, and 100 ROP, cowl flaps closed, the CHT wants to settle down at about 402, to get it to come down to about 385, you need to set it to about 120 ROP, and open the cowl flaps. (And that’s still pretty high.)
Any ideas? Thanks.
